Team Bot

Also called team bots.

A Team Bot is one Grok Bot that a whole team talks to, each person in their own chat, after an owner sets it up and publishes it to the team.

Example

An owner publishes a Team Bot for expense questions. A teammate opens their own chat with that Bot and asks how to label a receipt. They are talking to the shared Bot, not to a separate copy the way a template works.

Why it matters

The owner sets the Bot up once, with the plugins, secrets, skills, and files it needs, and publishes it to the team. Teammates then chat with that same Bot in the Grok Bot app or in Slack. The docs say that when someone tells the Bot something the whole team should know, it can save that to team memory, which every teammate's conversation reads. Private notes can still stay with one person.

A personal Bot is the other everyday choice. The docs suggest one when the assistant should work from your own accounts and memories. A public template is different again: each person who adds it talks to their own copy, and each copy is maintained separately.

How it shows up on bot.ski

On bot.ski, the Primary Bot glossary page names a Team Bot as a different idea and links the Team Bots doc. This page is that definition. bot.ski does not host the Grok Bot app, and opening this page does not create a Bot or publish one to a team.

Common confusion

A Team Bot is not a public template, and it is not the Primary Bot role. A template gives each person a copy. A Team Bot is one Bot the team shares. Primary Bot is a go-to role inside one account.
