What's coming on Botski

Botski is for people who make templates, people who review them, and people who try them. This page stays current. Live means you can use it today. The other chips say what is still on the way.

If your bot builds on someone else's, credit them with a link. People can try both. A different take is welcome.

How to read the status

  • LiveOn bot.ski today
  • In progressA draft is open, not on the site yet
  • Coming soonWe mean to build it. Not public yet
  • Under considerationStill weighing it. It may need a database change Rich approves

For creators

  • Purpose on Feed cardsLive

When a template shows up in the Feed, you can see what the bot is for without opening the listing.

    From the community

  • A hint when a similar template is already listedLive

The share form can look for the same link, the same name, or similar wording. It is a hint, not a verdict. Similar words do not mean someone copied anyone, and they do not decide who made a bot first.

    From the community

  • Credit the template you built onLive

If your bot builds on another Botski template, write Inspired by and paste that page's link in the description. The share form and template pages invite you to do that. A different take is welcome.

    From Rich

  • Task evidence on template commentsLive

Members can record what they tried, what was promised, what happened, and whether they had to step in. That keeps feedback tied to real use.

    From the community

  • One link for all your templatesLive

bot.ski/@yourhandle/templates opens your Templates tab. Handy for an X bio.

    From the community

  • Update the words, keep the linkLive

On a published template, a new name or description waits for review. The public page and its link stay as they are until that review lands.

    From the community

  • Share my templates buttonIn progress

A button on your profile Templates tab so people can copy bot.ski/@yourhandle/templates in one tap. Drafted, not on the site yet.

    From the community

  • Creators page and a weekly spotlightIn progress

A place to meet people who share templates, plus a rotating home spotlight so newer creators get a turn. Drafted, and waiting on a copy read before it can go public.

    From the community

  • Follow a template for update noticesIn progress

A draft describes notices when a creator marks a template updated. It is not on the site yet, and it needs a database change Rich approves.

    From the community

  • Template packsIn progress

A set of two to five templates people can follow and comment on, with credit for the person who gathered them. A draft is building this now. Adding the new tables is allowed. Back up the database before that change is applied on the droplet.

    From the community

  • Forks that point back to the originalComing soon

A saved link from a new listing back to the one it builds on, so the original stays easy to find. An author's note would not be labeled verified. Similar wording alone would never count as copying. The Inspired by line in a description is already here. The saved link comes next.

For reviewers

  • Comments on templatesLive

Approved comments show on template pages. You can reply on those comments, and you can report one.

    From the community

  • Reviewers pageComing soon

A top-level page for people who write careful reviews, ranked by useful reviews rather than who commented the most. The first version can use comments we already store.

    From Rich

  • Short prompts in the comment boxComing soon

A nudge to say what you tried, what you wanted, what you got, and what could be better. A separate scored form waits until ratings exist.

    From the community

  • An extra share after careful reviewsUnder consideration

Earn another template share in a day after a few reviews that show real use. Needs tracking Rich approves, so a low-effort comment cannot unlock it.

    From Rich

For template users

  • Views, favorites, and honest sortsLive

Template cards show views. You can sort by Popular, Most viewed, Trending, or Newest. We do not invent download counts.

    From the community

  • How we choose FeaturedLive

Staff picks use a public rubric and a Botski score out of 100. Read How we choose Featured.

    From Rich

  • Try someone else's template, then share yoursLive

Template pages and the share form point you at other listings, and at sharing your own. Start with Templates or share yours.

    From the community

  • Feed repliesIn progress

A draft adds a reply on each Feed post, using comments we already store. Replies would stay on that post. They are not on the site yet. Replies on template comments already are.

    From the community

  • Use-case guidesComing soon

Problem-first pages, such as templates for a social media manager, or which template helps with one job. Written as Learn and blog guides that link to live listings.

    From the community

  • Hot pick of the dayComing soon

A daily featured template chosen from views and the Trending sort, with a short why, so discovery is not only about who you already follow. We will not invent download counts to pick it.

    From the community

  • Real install countsUnder consideration

Counts of signed-in people who actually opened or tried a template, not raw clicks. Needs a database change Rich approves. Views stay the public number until then.

    From the community

  • Built with thisUnder consideration

A place on each template page for short notes about what people built on top of it. Until that exists, a Feed post with the template link is a fine way to show your work.

    From the community

Trust and quality

  • Creator-submitted, creator-controlledLive

Listings come from people who share their own bots. On a member's template, the page says they submitted it and can remove it anytime.

    From the community

  • Botski staff scoreLive

A staff score sits next to Featured picks. It is not a crowd vote, and nobody can buy a higher score.

    From Rich

  • Featured, Highlight, and SpotlightLive

Staff can already mark a listing so a pick stands out. The labels are not a claim that every listing is equal.

    From Rich

  • A plain note on what the badges meanComing soon

A short public page for Featured, Highlight, Spotlight, and the Botski score, using labels that already exist.

    From Rich

  • Audience ratings held until five people rateUnder consideration

Five-star ratings that stay hidden until five different people have rated, with checks for abuse. One early rating would not sit on the page alone. Needs a database change Rich approves.

    From Rich

  • A Botski score and an audience scoreUnder consideration

Keep the staff Botski score, and add an audience average once ratings exist. Same idea as a critic score next to an audience score.

    From Rich

Got an idea?

Leave a comment on a template or a blog post, post in the Feed, or email hello@bot.ski. Real use reports help more than wish lists. If you write in, say whether you make templates, review them, or mostly use them.
