x.ai Marketplace

In plain English

One nickname covers three doors: the x.ai Marketplace, Connect Apps plugins, and Grok Build’s plugin shelf.

Example

You open a public listing and read the job. You still have the same Bots you had before. Reading is not adding. You install a mail connector from the Grok Bot plugin shelf. Every Bot on your account can see that connector. You did not add a new teammate. You browse plugins in Grok Build. Those plugins stay with the coding agent.

Why it matters

One English word got reused. People walk through the wrong door and think they added a teammate when they installed a plugin, or the other way around.

Botski keeps the doors apart on purpose. xAI docs win if a shelf gets renamed. This page was checked against those docs on 2026-09-23 CT.

Door one is the x.ai Marketplace, a public shelf of other people’s Bots. Reading a listing on bot.ski does not add the Bot.

Door two is Connect Apps inside the Grok Bot app, where connectors and packaged skills are installed. The in-app sidebar button used an older label until September 26, 2026, when it became Connect apps (that list is not the x.ai Marketplace). The October 2 changelog finished the rename: Connect Apps got category chips, Recommended for you first, and Bot templates on the web. Those plugins are account-wide. Door three is Grok Build’s plugin shelf, for the coding agent. It does not add a Grok Bot.

bot.ski does not install anything from any of the three.
