Templates on bot.ski

A Grok Bot template is a copy of a Bot's setup that someone else can add to their own account. bot.ski Templates is a curated shelf of those templates. Each card shows a picture, a name and a short description, and links to the template's official page on x.ai.

What a template includes

It includes the Bot's description (its standing rules), its skills, its routines and its first-party plugins. It doesn't include the computer's files in /workspace, custom scripts, logins, secrets or chat history. Anyone with a public share link can see the Bot's shared setup, so take secrets out before you share.

How adding one works

You add a template from its official x.ai page, using Add to Grok Bot. bot.ski doesn't install anything. Our cards link out to x.ai, and the Add button only appears when the link on record is an official https://x.ai/bot/… template link.

How a template gets on bot.ski

  1. Sign in to a free bot.ski account. You need one to share.
  2. Share your Bot as a template in Grok Bot, and copy its x.ai link.
  3. Share it on bot.ski with the link, a name, a description of up to 280 characters, and optional categories. Write the description yourself; we don't copy text from the template's x.ai page.
  4. A person reviews it. Check your account page to see its status. Nothing goes up automatically, and connecting your account never publishes anything.
  5. Once it's approved, it appears with a picture made from its description. You'll be able to upload your own picture later.

Views, sorting and comments

Views on bot.ski. Each template page shows how many times it was opened on bot.ski. We count these ourselves; they aren't installs, adds or x.ai numbers. A view counts only when someone opens the template page, not when they see its card in the grid. Each visitor counts once per template per day. We don't store IP addresses or set cookies to do this. Known bots, the creator's own visits and our own checks aren't counted. Every count started at zero, and under 10 it reads "Fewer than 10 views."

Privacy. We count page visits on bot.ski without cookies and without keeping your IP address. We keep only a daily total for each template.

Sorting. Newest shows the most recently approved templates first. Most viewed sorts by total views on bot.ski. Trending sorts by views in the last 7 days, and a template needs at least 10 views to show up there; a template's first day doesn't count. If nothing qualifies, Trending is hidden. Popular is views over the last 30 days, plus 5 points for each distinct person who left a visible, approved comment (removed or still-in-review comments don't count, and neither do the creator's own replies).

Comments. Signed-in members can leave plain-text comments of up to 1,000 characters at the bottom of a template page. A new account's first comment is reviewed before it shows. Anyone signed in can report a comment. A comment that exposes secrets or personal information is hidden right away. The "Creator" tag goes only to someone whose claim we've checked. Comments never change a template's ranking or review status.

What we won't do

We won't list a template without a real x.ai link. We won't make up numbers. The only number we show is views on bot.ski (see above). We won't say xAI made or endorsed a template unless it did. Community templates are labeled as not verified or endorsed by xAI.
