Overview
Meta Muse combines a personal-agent experience with small-business skills in the same product. Its documented cloud workspace and memory are relevant to longer-running errands and business tasks.
The small-business expansion adds connected tools and work-oriented skills. That is not, by itself, evidence of a shared multi-user agent with team memory.
Meta’s official regional descriptions conflict. The September 29 small-business announcement names the US and Canada, while the launch article updated September 30 still says US. This does not establish when Canada was added. Check actual account and subscription eligibility, then confirm allowances and currency at checkout.
Meta describes an additional safety-checking layer for actions, but acknowledges mistakes and attacks remain possible. The launch source also distinguishes current features from future additions.
Start with the particular connector and workflow you need. Check the account’s access, the task’s permission boundary and how memory can be reviewed. If several colleagues will use the result, confirm the sharing model rather than assuming business-oriented features imply shared ownership.

Powered by Muse Spark, Meta's model for agentic work. Meta announced Muse Spark 1.3 on September 2, 2026; Meta's consumer pages name the model family only.
Muse app on iOS, Android and Mac, muse.ai on the web, and WhatsApp. One long main chat plus side chats for separate topics. A voice mode is announced, not live.
Meta's small-business announcement names Asana, Box, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, Granola, HighLevel, Intuit QuickBooks, Klaviyo, Lovable, Notion, Shopify, Slack, Stripe, Zoom and Facebook and Instagram business accounts; with email and calendar, that is 18 listed here. Meta Connect added more partners, including Walmart, Best Buy, Sephora, Wayfair, PayPal, Instacart and GitHub, with Expedia coming soon. A third-party tracker reports about 35 or more connectors in total. Purchases use Link by Stripe; Shop Pay is reported live as a wallet, per Shopify as cited by a third-party tracker. It can build tools a task needs.
Persistent memory across conversations; Memory files you can read and edit directly, side chats, a Goals view, and you can tell it to forget specific things.
Dedicated cloud VM with browser, filesystem, and terminal; creates documents, PDFs, web pages, and interactive outputs. Computer use on the Mac was announced at Meta Connect; sources differ on whether it is live.

Confidential VM, 1Password support and AI-glasses access are announced future additions, not verified current features. Meta Connect also announced a dedicated Muse email address and computer use on the Mac; Meta's recap says Mac computer use is already available, while TechCrunch lists it as upcoming, so check your own Mac app.
Sentinel separately checks external actions; approval and fine-grained permissions still require sensible user configuration. Meta acknowledges agent mistakes and attacks remain possible.
The September 29 small-business announcement names the US and Canada, while the launch article updated September 30 still says US. This is conflicting regional evidence, not a verified chronology of Canada being added. Confirm account eligibility; limited-testing and subscription restrictions apply.
Start with a bounded task and review consequential actions. A documented approval control is not a guarantee that a workflow is safe.
What reviewers found
Nate Herk compared OpenAI dot and Meta Muse in his YouTube video “I Tested OpenAI's Dots vs. Meta's Muse. What You Need to Know.” (published September 30, 2026). These are his hands-on impressions, not bot.ski test results.
Nate Herk tested each for about a day. He describes both as persistent cloud agents that run schedules, use connected tools and have their own cloud computers, which matches the official documentation.
He expected dot to work like Grok Bot, where you create several Bots that talk to each other. Instead he found dot closer to Muse: one main agent that helps with everything.
He found Muse easier for non-technical people. He points to an Identity tab with editable Soul and Memory files, a Schedule tab with a Heartbeat check every 30 minutes, a personalized feed, and artifacts that include images, videos and podcasts. Meta's own pages document editable Memory files, side chats, a Goals tab and Artifacts, and Meta's launch walkthrough shows the Feed tab. We could not confirm the Soul file, the Heartbeat interval or podcasts in official sources.
He says Muse's free tier allows up to 100 million tokens a week. Meta's help page says only that free use has a usage limit, so we do not repeat the number as fact.
In his view GPT-6 Astra is the stronger model, especially for coding, while Muse felt a little faster and good enough for everyday knowledge work. Neither company publishes a head-to-head test of the two.
His verdict: dot suits people who already work in ChatGPT and Codex and want a dot their team can reach in Slack. Muse is the one he would recommend to non-technical friends and family, with a free start and WhatsApp access. He expects Muse, dot and Grok Bot to converge on similar features over time.
He notes that Muse quickly reached No. 1 in Apple's App Store. TechCrunch reported that it took the top US spot on September 18.
Named Bots retain a role over time, work across connected apps and websites, and coordinate with other Bots.

Change note
1 October 2026: reconciled source scope and caveats. Original source-check timestamps retained; no hands-on benchmark has been completed. 2 October 2026: rechecked public sources, corrected changed facts, and added chat channels, what it can make, free tier or paid entry, and who it is built for. 3 October 2026 (UTC): applied a fact-check of this guide: voice is announced, not live; Shop Pay is reported live per Shopify; computer use on the Mac and a Muse email address are announced; the model wording names the September 2 Muse Spark 1.3 announcement; Meta's “juggles multiple tasks at once” replaces “subagents”; the Feed tab is confirmed by Meta's walkthrough; connectors are dated.
