Our evidence standard

How we compare assistants

Provider claims, open questions and hands-on results each have their own place.

Prepared October 1, 2026 · Updated October 2, 2026

What is included?

The core set is Grok Bot, OpenAI dot, Meta Muse, Instinct and Google CC. Claude, Perplexity Computer and Copilot Autopilot are related entries. This is a useful editorial selection, not every assistant on the market.

bot.ski starts with Grok Bot. The same evidence rules apply to every product; display order and prominence are not performance grades.

What the labels mean

Documented
A public source supports the stated claim. This is not a hands-on result.
Announced
Announced with rollout or access limits. General availability is not established.
Not verified
The reviewed evidence does not establish the claim. It may still be possible.
Not supported
A source explicitly documents an absence in the stated scope.

A source can document a feature while limiting it to a plan, region, device or test group. The limit belongs with the claim. Silence is not evidence of absence.

Sources & freshness

We prefer official product pages, help documents, release notes and dated announcements. Secondary reporting can provide labeled context when primary material is inaccessible, but does not silently overrule a primary source.

Each source has its publisher, URL, verified publication date when available, and check timestamp. Checked means reviewed, not exercised in an account. We do not renew those dates automatically when the site builds.

Product boundaries matter

A new model is not proof of a new assistant capability. An app connection is not proof of desktop control. Personal dot and Workspace Agents remain separate, as do Gemini and Google CC.

The dimensions we compare

Every guide covers the same rows: who it is built for, underlying model, chat channels, app connections, memory, schedules, background work, its own cloud computer, what it can make, shared use, free tier or paid entry, and availability by region. “Not verified” marks a row no official source settles. Prices stay off the comparison hub; dated plan-entry facts appear only in each guide.

Reviewer findings

Independent reviews are attributed to the reviewer by name and kept separate from documented facts. Where a reviewer’s observation could not be confirmed in an official source, we say so beside it.

Screenshots and logos

Guide screenshots are cropped captures of official public pages, dated when captured. We do not use third-party logos; product names appear as text.

Hands-on test status

Not tested by bot.ski. No comparative test results are published for this set. Provider demos and benchmarks are not our own results. There are no ratings, stars or aggregate scores.

Before publishing a result, record the task, product and model if exposed, tier, region, environment, date, permissions, inputs, success criteria, elapsed time, measured cost, human interventions and supporting evidence. Repeat comparable tasks and retain failures as well as successes.

Access failure, missing permission, product unavailability and task failure are different outcomes. If conditions differ, show the difference instead of forcing a score.

Planned benchmarks

Use fixed, synthetic tasks with predefined success criteria. The first protocol covers:

  1. Source-led research with traceable claims
  2. Meeting preparation from provided material
  3. A bounded workflow across connected apps
  4. Browser work with a clear approval boundary
  5. Background follow-through and a verifiable finish
  6. Remembering, correcting and removing task context
  7. Permission handling and recovery from interruption

Record eligibility and setup separately from completion. Retain every trial, intervention and outcome. No benchmark has been run for this comparison.

The Google update, in context

The September 30 Gemini 4 Argon announcement described initial access for trusted cyber defenders through Fairwind, with broader access planned. That does not establish that Google CC uses Argon.

Gemini app skills began rolling out September 30. Managed Workspace has separate October dates, and the Gems transition is later. Neither announcement establishes skills in CC.

No CC-specific capability or model change was established by those announcements. The CC household evidence and its access restrictions remain separate. Not finding an update does not prove that no unindexed update exists.

Corrections & responsible use

Recheck fast-moving claims before release and preserve a change note when access or scope changes. Sponsorship or affiliate relationships, if introduced, require clear disclosures beside the relevant links; this comparison establishes no such relationship.

Use the guides to narrow a shortlist, then check current provider details and your actual workflow. Review permissions and outputs before spending, sharing data or taking consequential action. An editorial guide cannot guarantee future behavior.

Sources & check dates

Sources open in a new tab. A check means the public source was reviewed, not that the product was tested. Dates below are recorded evidence dates, not the build date.
