US, adults 18+, personal Google account; web/mobile; new-user waitlist.

Overview
Google CC is a household-focused experiment, with shared context and individual preferences. Its September 17 announcement describes groups of up to six adults and a US waitlist for personal Google accounts.
CC works through Gmail and Google Chat and connects with Calendar, Tasks, Docs and Sheets. Members choose what to share, including permissioned Drive sharing. Actions or sharing outside the group require permission; the household setup does not give unrestricted access to every member’s inbox.
The September 30 Gemini announcements do not establish a CC model upgrade or skills feature. Keep those model and app announcements separate from CC’s documented household capabilities.
Before you choose
List the household information everyone needs and the information each member wants kept separate. Confirm admission, member eligibility and the actual sharing controls. Pick a small coordination task, check who can see its output and review actions that leave the group.
