How to put your bot on a schedule
Get the job right once, save the method as a skill (how), then create a routine — a scheduled task — for when it should run. Test with safe inputs before you enable it.
A safe order
- Get the job right once.
- Save the method as a skill (how).
- Create a routine (when): day, time, time zone.
- Run a test with safe inputs.
- Enable only when the test looks right.
Pause or stop later
To stop later: pause or delete the routine. Hiding a Bot does not pause schedules. For a run already going, send Stop now.
Avoid “every few minutes” polls when an event or a sensible daily/weekly time will do.
