This is a Botski briefing of public official pages. It is not a new product announcement dated today.
Check the plan before you name a Bot
Get started lists what you need before you create a Bot:
- An eligible plan: every paid individual Cursor plan or the Cursor Teams plan, or an individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, or SuperGrok Heavy subscription linked to your Cursor account
- The official Grok Bot desktop app for macOS, Windows, or Linux
- An app or website where the first Bot can do useful work
You can also set up and use Grok Bot on mobile. Official downloads stay on the Grok Bot product page.
Grok Bot also needs cloud data storage. Accounts still on Legacy Privacy Mode must move to a supported Cursor data setting before Grok Bot can start.
Some SuperGrok plans do not count
The plans page is the place that names the misses beginners hit:
- SuperGrok Lite does not include Grok Bot. Official help says to upgrade to SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, or SuperGrok Heavy, then link again.
- SuperGrok Team and SuperGrok Enterprise linking is not supported. Only individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy, or X Premium+ accounts can link.
A SuperGrok or X Premium+ link is a usage grant on your Cursor account. It is not a second Cursor plan. Official help also says Cursor and SuperGrok grants do not stack on top of each other.
On August 26, 2026 the official Grok Bot account on X said SuperGrok and Cursor Pro subscribers have access, and that weekly usage limits were reset. Treat that as an access announcement. The current plan matrix still lives on Plans and billing, including the Lite and team-SuperGrok misses.
Then open the official app and sign in
Get started has you sign in with your Cursor account. If access comes from SuperGrok, link it when the app asks. On first use, Grok Bot introduces Bots, the shared computer, and routines, then asks which tools you use. Those answers shape teammate suggestions. They do not connect those tools by themselves.
Create the first Bot with a short name, one primary job, and a description of how it should work. Official docs prefer a focused Bot over one catch-all helper.
